Honors & Awards

At the end of 2005 Consolar was honoured with the award "ETHICS IN BUSINESS" for its above-average social responsibility. With this PR and Benchmarking project German small and medium sized companies are rewarded for their ethical behaviour.

Consolar received further prizes and awards that honour the efforts and performance of small and medium sized businesses. In the following we will give you an overview of the awards, seals and certificates:

ISO-Certificate: In 2008, the certification authority TS / TÜV certified the Consolar GmbH according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 and thereby attested an efficient management system. Beside development, production and distribution, this certificate also refers to general problems of solar technology and rational use of energy.

Within the context of the campaign „Jobmotor 2005“The region of Southern Baden-Württemberg awarded Consolar the mention „Jobmotor“ in March 2006. The mention was awarded due to the company’s enormous growth in 2005 by the newspaper „Badische Zeitung“ and regional trade associations. Consolar as a medium-size company contributed, thus, to the creation of permanent jobs in Germany.

OTTI Innovationspreis

Award for innovation: At the 17th symposium for thermal solar systems in Bad Staffelstein, Germany, Consolar was granted the "Award for Innovation 2007" for their patented novel solar heat pump system SOLAREA. The new solar heat pump system was honored for its great potential for energy saving and a huge reduction of CO2 emissions.

Stiftung Warentest is an independent and non-profit German consumer organization. In April 2003 the organization tested solar combined storage tanks and, despite of the fact that Consolar provided the smallest solar combined system, it was placed first in three categories: With regard to „System Efficiency“, „Production, Material Used and Packaging“ and „Energetical Amortization“ our system received the best mark possible. The system was composed of a SOUS II 560L stratified storage tank and 6 TUBO 11 CPC evacuated tube collectors.

Highest specific energy savings rate for Consolar solar power:
The Consolar System SOLUS-TUBO was rated “excellent” at the current “Stiftung Warentest” (a German consumer research and advice foundation) from February 2009. Based on the collector measures, Consolar had the highest energy savings rate and at the same time the highest efficiency of all 13 systems tested in the “Stiftung Warentest” for combined solar systems. The Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt DBU (German Federal Environmental Trust) is one of Europe's largest foundations and promotes innovative and exemplary environmental products, that feature an especially relief for the environment and climate in their design (material and cycle of materials) as well as in their effectiveness. Furthermore, they have a social benefit through impulses that stimulate the market with trend-setting innovations. Actually three Consolar products were supported by the DBU: the stratified storage CONUS, the contol unit CONTROL and the innovative heat pump SOLAERA.

Consolar is part of the „Fair Company“ list. A list of companies maintained by karriere.de comprising companies which provide fair and better chances to graduates.
